Literati Ereader

Literati Ereader

But unlike those two products, the company has chosen to use a color LCD screen like the iPad. Currently, the E Ink technology used by most other e-readers displays only black and white (or more accurately, black and light-gray). An LCD screen is tougher to read in bright light but conversely, much easier to read in a darkened room, while your mate tries to sleep.
I first looked at the Literati last month, but did not have a chance then to use it for an extended period. Recently, I was sent an evaluation unit.
The company wants potential customers to think of the Literati as a really big deal; it’s boxed in what is surely one of the biggest packages ever for a product this size that comes in a colorful cardboard mock book the size of a coffee table work, that is literally more than 10 times the volume of the reader itself.
