Homophones List

Homophones List

The following is a alphabetized text file. Each line is a pair of homophones. The first word is alphabetically before the second.
In some cases this may make a bit difficult to find the homophone, for example there is a line: "know no" under the k's but you will not find "no" under the n's.
I use a program to make two lines out of each line the second line being just the first with the words reversed. (That program also forces the initial letter of each word to be upper case.) I then sort the expanded file on the first letter of each line to make what the Word Exchange program actually uses.
The reason for this is: 1. It keeps the "main" file half as long. 2. Any corrections don't have to be made in two places.
The following list does not include more than a pair of Homophones. For example it does not contain the triple "to, too, two". Further if the word is on the right it will not be on the left and visa versa. Hopefully, no word appears twice in the following table.
I have numbered the following entries. If you find errors or want to make additions, the numbers should allow easier identification of the problem or suggestion. Lastly, if you would like just the list without the numbers contact me at the address below.
